4 strips bacon, chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 medium crisp red apple, diced
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 (14.5oz) can Butter KernelĀ® Cut Green Beans (drained)
1/4 teaspoon pepper


In medium skillet, cook bacon over medium high-heat 8 to 10 minutes or until crisp, stirring frequently. With slotted spoon, remove bacon to small bowl. Discard all but 1 tablespoon of the bacon drippings. Add onion to bacon drippings in skillet. Cook 2 minutes. Stir in apple. Cook 1 to 2 minutes or until slightly tender. Stir in maple syrup, beans and pepper. Cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Top with bacon.
